How to Get Started on Memez.wtf (Beginner's Guide)

Everything you need to go from zero to your first meme coin trade — or your first token launch — on Memez.wtf. No prior crypto experience assumed.

What is Memez.wtf?

Memez.wtf is a multi-chain memecoin launchpad and trading terminal. You can trade every DEX-listed memecoin across Solana, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, GRAM and Robinhood Chain, or launch your own token in under 60 seconds. New tokens start on a bonding curve with holder airdrops and automatic DEX migration once they graduate.

Cash Mode is the default dollar-balance experience. Self-Custody remains available for users who want to keep their keys in OKX Wallet and approve each transaction.

Before you start

A phone or a laptop — Memez.wtf runs great in your browser and inside the OKX Wallet mobile app.
An email for your Memez.wtf account.
A little starting capital — $10–20 is enough to place your first Solana or Base trade.
An optional OKX Wallet — only if you choose Self-Custody.

Step 1 — Create your Memez.wtf account

Go to memez.wtf.
Tap Sign Up and enter your email plus a password.
Confirm the verification email that lands in your inbox.
Sign in. You'll land on the home feed.

The account is free. It's what unlocks XP, rewards, watchlists, referral earnings and the social feed — you can browse without it, but you'll need it to trade.

Your account also gives you a referral link. Referrals pay on two levels: you earn 5% of the platform fees from every trade your direct referrals make, plus 2% from every trade made by anyone they refer — forever, paid in native currency.

Step 2 — Start in Cash Mode

Cash Mode is selected by default. It lets you add funds, see one dollar balance, and trade without connecting an external wallet or approving each trade.

Open Cash Balance, choose Add Cash, and select the network you want to deposit from. Your confirmed deposit becomes spendable Cash.

Optional Self-Custody

Switch modes in Settings, then connect OKX Wallet. Keep your seed phrase offline and never share it.

Never share your seed phrase. No support person, no admin, no "airdrop verifier" will ever legitimately ask for it. If someone does, they're stealing your wallet.

Step 3 — Add Cash

Open Cash Balance and tap Add Cash.
Choose the network you will send from.
Copy the personal deposit address and send only on that network.
After confirmation, the credited dollar value appears in your Cash Balance.

MEMEZ never credits an unconfirmed deposit. If it has confirmed but is not visible, use Check now before contacting support.

Step 4 — Understand the balance

Trading is shown as one dollar balance, but withdrawals remain network-specific:

Your header combines available Cash into one USD figure for trading.
The Withdraw dialog shows the maximum currently available on each network.
Network and transfer costs are deducted from the amount you receive.
If a confirmed withdrawal fails, the debit is refunded to the ledger.

What happens when you trade:

MEMEZ curve token — settles instantly in Cash Mode with no separate user-paid gas.
Graduated or imported token — executes against a real on-chain market behind the scenes.

Cash Mode users do not need to manage gas for curve trades. Self-Custody users still need native coin for network fees.

Step 5 — Pick a chain and find a token

Use the chain switcher in the top-right to pick Solana, Ethereum, BNB, Base, GRAM or Robinhood Chain.
Browse Discover for new launches.
Check Trending for tokens with momentum right now.
Use the Screener to filter by volume, holders, market cap.
Follow the Social Feed for community picks and live trade calls.

Step 6 — Place your first trade

Open the token page.
Enter the amount you want to spend. Start small.
Check price impact and slippage. Anything above ~3% impact on a tiny buy is a red flag.
Tap Buy. Cash Mode needs no OKX prompt.
Curve trades settle instantly; DEX trades complete after the on-chain route succeeds.
The token appears in Cash Mode holdings. Small positions under $2 stay available in View all holdings.

In Self-Custody, use the OKX Wallet bridge when your funds are on a different network.

Step 7 — (Optional) Launch your own token

Launching on Memez.wtf takes under 60 seconds and costs only the network gas to mint your contract — there is no platform fee to launch.

Tap Launch in the top nav.
Upload a 512x512 PNG icon (works cleanly in every wallet).
Enter name, symbol, and a short description.
Pick a chain — Solana is fastest and cheapest to launch on, with Robinhood Chain also available.
Confirm and pay gas in OKX Wallet.
You're live on a bonding curve. Share the token link and start marketing.

Beginner mistakes to avoid

Chasing pumps. If the chart is already vertical, you're the exit liquidity.
Buying from a Telegram DM. Nobody DMs you a real gem.
Confusing curve and DEX settlement. Cash Mode curves are instant; external markets are not.
No exit plan. Decide your take-profit and stop-loss before you buy.
Sending on the wrong network. Match the chain when withdrawing from an exchange.
Sharing the seed phrase. Never. Not once. Not to "support".

Is Memez.wtf free to sign up?

Yes. Creating an account is free. Cash Mode curve trades have no separate user-paid gas, but the 1.25% MEMEZ fee still applies. Standard external DEX trades use a 1.00% MEMEZ fee and real on-chain markets. Network and transfer costs can apply to deposits, DEX settlement, launches, and withdrawals.

Do I need a wallet to use Memez.wtf?

No external wallet is required for default Cash Mode. If you prefer Self-Custody, OKX Wallet is the supported option across Solana, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, GRAM and Robinhood Chain.

How do I install OKX Wallet?

On mobile, install the OKX Wallet app from the App Store or Google Play. On desktop, install the OKX Wallet browser extension from web3.okx.com. When you open it, choose Create Wallet, write the 12-word seed phrase on paper (never a screenshot or note app), and set a password. That's it — you now have a wallet that works on every chain Memez.wtf supports.

How do I fund Cash Mode?

Open Add Cash, select a network, and send a supported asset to the deposit address shown. The deposit is converted and credited only after on-chain confirmation. Always send on the exact selected network.

How much money do I need to start?

Cash Mode buy controls show the current minimum before you submit. Start small and never trade money you cannot afford to lose — meme coins are volatile and many launches lose most or all of their value.

What if my SOL/ETH is on the wrong chain?

Cash Mode presents one dollar balance for trading and handles supported movement behind the scenes when needed. Withdrawals remain network-specific. Self-Custody users can use OKX Wallet's built-in Bridge mode.
